Original and retouched images of cover of a Polish catalog titled, “Fruit-Bearing Trees & Shrubs.” This image required excessive retouching work, including: repairing parts of the vignette that were destroyed; repairing the giant rip in the bottom left of the cover; removing unwanted markings; and removing the pink writing. The client wanted some of the imperfections to remain, so some parts were left untouched.

Formatted final print of Polish catalog cover. A new, textured background has been added, and the artwork has been sized to fit a standard-size frame.

Original and Retouched images of Tiddledy Winks Board Game art.

Before/After images of artwork from the board game Tiddledy Winks. The original was way too dark, so image was lightened (and contrast added) significantly. Also, colored background behind the cats was fixed in many places. This illustration is from an old board game (late 19th or early 20th century) so client wanted some of the piece’s “age” to remain.

Original and retouched images of Sicily Lemon Sugar patent drawing from 1870. Background behind hand and glass was severely damaged in original, so part of it was sampled and a new, one-color background was added. This required extensive path-drawing to select the areas to fix. Also, unwanted markings have been removed and parts of tooling line around drawing recreated.
