In the original image of Actor Steve McQueen, his face and the dashboard of the car are way too bright and lacking detail. In the retouched image, both elements were darkened, producing a more balanced image.

Original and retouched images of a patent drawing for a cutlery label from 1874. Many parts of this drawing were retouched/modified. Unwanted markings and heavy staining in the green part of the label were removed. Also, parts of the tooling line surrounding the inner drawing had to be recreated and the label at the top left was removed.
Final, formatted version of the cutlery label patent drawing from Aetna Works. The outer border has been added and texture applied (so it matches label texture).
